Rhys Darby is a very talented man from New Zealand whose work as a stand-up comedian, actor and writer has earned him fans and acclaim around the world. He is currently best known for playing Murray, the band manager, in the HBO television series Flight of the Conchords, with fellow Kiwis and friends Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. This was a role he originally played in the BBC Radio 2 series of the same name. Rhys is never far from his stand-up comedy roots. He has been reducing audiences to what has been described as 'bewildered hysteria' since he launched himself on the world circuit in 2002. His stand-up comedy act involves an hilarious blend of craziness, sound effects, characters and physical movement that blend into a truly unique style of comedy performance. He is an acclaimed cult figure worldwide and regularly sells out theatres in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
