Guy Grossi is owner and head chef of the internationally-renowned Grossi Restaurants, including the iconic Grossi Florentino, Mirka at Tolarno Hotel and Grossi Trattoria in Bangkok .He has appeared on some of Australia's leading cooking programmes, including Masterchef, My Kitchen Rules and as a co-host of Italian Food Safari. He has also starred as Iron Chef with Guillaume Brahimi and Neil Perry. He writes a weekly column for the Sunday Herald Sun, and has appeared on radio and even on stage. In 2010 he was the Tour Ambassador for the Melbourne Cup's 150th Anniversary, travelling extensively with the Cup and designing menus for gala functions. He was Victoria's face of food and wine during the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Guy perfected his craft at some of the city's finest eating places, including Massoni Ristorante and Two Faces, then created Quadri, Epoca, Pietro and Caffe Grossi before taking over the Florentino in 1999. In 1996 the President of Italy recognised Guy's service to Italian cuisine abroad. Guy's book Grossi Florentino: Secrets & Recipes, won the Australian Food Media Book of the Year Award in 2004. My Italian Heart won Best Italian Cuisine book in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2005 and has been hugely successful.
