Vietnam Australia's Ten Year War
Author(s): Richard Pelvin
Over 300 rarely seen photographs, pamphlets, letters, newspaper excerpts and diary entries bring the story of the Vietnam War to life including the famous Battle of Long Tan. An intimate portrayal of the very human side of battle, it covers the debate over National Service, the television media coverage, and reflects on the war's aftermath. The Vietnam War was Australia's longest overseas active service commitment and had the third greatest number of battle casualties. A remarkable record of Australia's involvement in one of the most controversial and divisive wars of the 20th century.
