The Canning Stock Route (CSR) was once the longest and toughest stock route in the world. Today, thanks to its length and isolation, the CSR has become the most challenging 4WD adventure in Australia, attracting travellers from all over Australia as well as internationally. Canning could never have envisaged its popularity back in 1910, when he telegraphed his boss Harry S King from Wiluna with the words, “Work Completed, Canning.”
